Tapered roller bearings

Tapered roller bearings belong to the separating type of bearings, the inner and outer rings of which have tapered raceways. The bearings are divided into single row, double row and four row tapered roller bearings according to the number of rows of rollers installed. Single-row tapered roller bearings can withstand radial loads and single-way axial loads.
In the design, the inner ring, outer ring of the tapered roller bearing raceway surface and the tapered apex of the rollers are gathered at a point on the central axis of the bearing. The cylindrical rollers are assembled as rolling elements in the bearing and are guided by the large stall edge of the inner ring.
Can bear radial load, and single direction of the axial load. The load acting on the bearing will produce an axial force, so as with angular contact ball bearings, generally 2 bearings will be used in pairs, or must be used in the form of double row bearings, etc.. In this case, the spacing between the inner or outer rings can be adjusted to set a suitable internal clearance.
Because they are separable, the inner and outer rings can be dismantled separately.
For high load capacity bearings, the HR series is also available with increased roller size and number of rollers.
Depending on the size of the contact angle, they are divided into normal tapered angular, medium tapered angular and large tapered angular bearings. According to the number of rows of rollers can be divided into double and four rows of tapered roller bearings. In general, the use of steel plate stamping keep frame, large size tapered roller bearings also use pin type keep frame.

Double row tapered roller bearings

Double row tapered roller bearings of the TDO and TDI types, which include many variants and have different functions. Depending on their design, these bearings can withstand heavy radial loads, axial loads in both directions and are highly rigid. Double-row tapered roller bearings are commonly used in gearboxes, lifting equipment, steel rolling mills and mining machinery, such as tunnel boring machines.
