Spherical roller bearings

The centering roller bearing has a double row of rollers with one common spherical raceway on the outer ring and two raceways on the inner ring, which are angled at an angle to the bearing axis. This ingenious construction allows for automatic adjustment, making it less susceptible to errors in the angle of the shaft to the housing or shaft flexure, and is suitable for use where mounting errors or shaft flexure would cause an angle error.

Spherical roller bearings are available in high load capacity designs EA, C, CD and CA. The EA type has a high load capacity and low torque characteristic.
For bearings with an outside diameter of less than 180 mm, if oil grooves and oil holes are required, please indicate E4 on the bearing type when ordering from NSK.
In addition, when bearings with oil grooves and oil holes are used, the depth of the bearing oil grooves is limited. It is therefore more effective if the oil groove is also provided in the inner diameter of the housing.
