Product details

Needle roller bearings are roller bearings with cylindrical rollers that are thin and long in relation to their diameter. Despite their small cross-section, the bearings have a high load carrying capacity. Needle roller bearings are fitted with long, thin rollers, resulting in a compact radial configuration with the smallest outside diameter for the same bore size and load capacity as other types of bearings, making them particularly suitable for support configurations where radial mounting size is limited.

A needle roller bearing is a type of roller bearing that is usually referred to as a needle roller bearing, although sometimes the roller size is slightly outside the JIS definition of needle roller size.
Needle roller bearings can be divided into radial bearings and thrust bearings, depending on the direction of the load being applied. Among these, radial bearings include: various series of drawn outer ring type, solid type, as well as special-purpose bolt type and gear ring type roller needle roller bearings.
Needle roller bearings are bearings with cylindrical rollers of smaller diameter than length. The improved roller/raceway shape prevents stress peaks and extends the life of the bearing.
Needle roller and cage assemblies
Needle roller and cage assemblies are self-contained, quick-fit bearing units. In applications where the shaft and housing bore can be used as raceways, the assemblies can be used to produce bearing configurations that require only minimal radial space.

Drawn cup needle roller bearings with a drawn thin-walled outer ring. Drawn cup needle roller bearings are often used in applications where the housing bore cannot be used as a raceway for needle roller and cage assemblies, but where a very compact and economical bearing configuration is required. These bearings are mounted in the housing using an interference fit. As no shoulders or stop rings are required to axially locate the bearing, this makes the design of the housing bore simple and economical.

The hardened steel drawn outer ring and the needle roller and cage assembly of these bearings form a non-separated unit.

Needle roller bearings with machine-cut rings are made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel. A wide range of series and sizes or needle roller bearings with outer rings without retaining edges are available. Versions with or without inner rings are also available.

Spherical needle roller bearings have a convex spherical outer ring design. In conjunction with the concave spherical design of the outer ring, two polymer seats are combined in a stamped steel ring and mounted on the outer ring.
